SociometryAbstract
This article contains a brief review of tbe literature related to the use of sociometry within university education. It includes a report of a study in which the participants were students from a 4th-year undergraduate course involving the use of small groups as a primary learning method. The experimental groups were formed through tbe use of a sociometric procedure; the control groups were randomly assigned by the instructor. The results of correlational and multiple regression analyses indicated that, based on small-group evaluation measures, sociometry increased tbe students' learning satisfaction and their academic standing.
