Revision of the social atom test is an ongoing research project following a four-phase undertaking. Phase I, a reorganization of the social atom test, was reported in 1989, in the International Journal of Small Group Research, a journal that has since merged and is now called Small Group Research. The following is a succinct update of Phase 2.
