Abstract

This study concerns part of the data collected in a large-scale, longitudinal research program investigating persons training to become catholic priests and sisters. The. general goals of the program are (1) to identify the personality factors influencing initial choice of the religious vocation, and (2) to determine the degree and content of personality change occuring during the first four years of training.
The present study concerns the first goal and focuses on males who have joined a group to implement their religious vocational ideal
